Horsethief Canyon Ranch is a beautiful, master planned community of 1,962 single family homes. We are located in Unincorporated Corona, Western Riverside County. We are just West of the 15 freeway between Indian Truck Trail and Lake Street.
Horsethief Canyon Ranch or HCR, as referred to by most of our residents was envisioned by Presley homes in the early 1980s. The first home was sold in September of 1989 and the last new home sold, closed escrow in December of 2002. HCR’s homes range in size from 1,002 to almost 2,800 sq.ft. Because we are nestled at the base of the Cleveland National Forest, we enjoy beautiful views from most of our homes.
Our community is governed by a Homeowners Association. Among the many volunteer owners who give their time to help provide activities, protect and preserve our “Common Areas” maintain architectural standards and promote safety for our residents, is a 5 member Board of Directors, Delegates who represent 10 different Districts, and a dedicated group of committees. Our Activities Committee provides many fun events, like our Annual Summer Luau, Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Festival, and Snow Day with Santa. Also included on our roster of committees is the Disaster Committee, Architectural Review, and Landscape Committees.
In spite of the fact that HCR is home to more than 8,000 people, we still maintain a close knit, small town feel. Most of our residents came here from large metropolitan areas and were searching for a quieter, slower pace environment to raise their families and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. HCR is the perfect place to do that. The rural, almost country feel of being in an out of the way location combined with the beautiful grounds, friendly people and fun things to do , make it one of the best places you’ll ever find to live. The Orange County Register named Horsethief Canyon Ranch the most desirable community in Western Riverside County a few years ago.
The community built a second pool to add to their list of amenities as well as doubling the size of the existing clubhouse to help support the ever growing attendance of some of our more popular functions. We also enjoy having an award winning Elementary school right in the middle of our community.
Just up the road to the North, is the world class Glen Ivy Spa and renowned Tom’s Farms and a few miles to the South, the ever expanding Lake Elsinore Outlet Center. People travel hundreds of miles to visit these one of a kind places. For the residents of HCR, they are the closest places to us, without being too close.
